However, people of the South Vietnam preferred democracy, and did not w ant to see Ho Chi Minh as their leader. These consequences forced the U.S. government to evolve in this war to protect the South Vietnamese people from the aggressive North Vietnamese leadership. The involvement of the U.S.A at the Vietnam War was a very important decision which was economically, politically, and mentally very critical for the U.S.A. and the Vietnam government to maintain properly.\nThe Vietnam War began longsighted before the U.S. became involved.
